In this painting, the people in the background are stronger than me and they represent the titans of War. Although these aren't contemporary bodies, there is still a power and wealthiness to them. Culture still sees and looks at a certain type of fitness within masculinities and femininities.
As a transgender male, I am showing how my body is contemporary against these idealised bodies.  In the original painting, the titan's haven fallen and sentenced to a prison. I kept the luminous colour in my body to suggest even though I am below with them, I am not one of them. I have not fallen which is why my face doesn't express the shock or despair. I am using the painting as a power statement and show how we've progressed but haven't.
