For the BA, the entire year had to exhibit inside the church. It was a huge collaboration. And my work was about a performance showing me breaking ‘free’ from the boundaries of being female- escaping the pink clothing that resembled the old me. In the church, there were differences between the two sides the gate was on. The side you have to break into is the posh side resembling who I am now. The performance importantly shows whom I became and the change. The church allowed me to explore these transgender issues in a new aspect. I had another way to explain the change of life. Breaking free from expectations and stereotypes.
